Application Fee and Procedure
  1. Fill in and submit the online application with the required application materials on https://iesgbawards.org/
  2. Late submissions will NOT be considered and application fee is non-refundable.
  3. Entrants under category 7 & 8 are required to attend finalists presentation to jury panel. If applications are unable to present, they may be disqualified.
  4. Applications submitted on or before 24 May 2024 can enjoy early bird rate with 10% discount and required to submit all application document on or before 24 June 2024.  
  5. Corporations submitting entries for 2 or more categories are eligible for a 5% discount on the total application fee.
  6. For cheque payment, please send a crossed cheque to "INSTITUTE OF ESG & BENCHMARK LIMITED” and mailed to the following address:

Required Application Documents and Materials

  1. All submissions must be written in English and/or Chinese .
  2. All applicants are required to submit the online nomination form, along with supporting documents including:
    1. Basic company info and contact person details
    2. Maximum of 500 words to summarize the applicant's achievements in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) respectively.
  3. Companies’ logos (Format: “.ai” and “.jpeg”, image resolution no less than 300 dpi)
  4. Successful payment for application fee with proof (e.g. Bank in slip)

  • Applicants who apply for category 2.3 must provide non-profit organization certificate (exemption document under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance) OR other proof on non-profit business nature.

Company profile detailing successful case(s) (max. 24 pages) to showcase applicant’s achievement in ESG between 1 January 2023 - 24 June 2024

  1. Criteria set by Funds Managers – Distinguished ESG Company (only applicable to category 1 & 2.1)

Provide answers to the following questions (Max. 500 words per question)

  • How ESG elements are integrated into the business and operation of the group / organisation with an explanation of their relevance (i.e. ESG integration and relevance)
  • How ESG creates long-term value to the group / organisation (in terms of revenue growth, cost reduction, productivity uplift, avoiding legal & regulator interventions and investment and asset optimization/ CAPEX)
  1. Best Sustainable Vision Awards

Provide evidence and detail (max. 20 pages) of how governance strategies have been implemented to achieve a net zero carbon footprint, covering aspects such as suppliers and products, services and investments, allocation of resources, and skills development in practical and operational models.

  1. ESG Learning and Development Awards

Showcase evidence of internal and external workshops and sharing sessions aimed at educating stakeholders on the ESG concept.

  1. ESG Innovative Project Awards

Provide a detailed case study report (max. 20 pages) on a project that showcases innovative concepts implemented to support ESG operations, demonstrating concrete impacts and business outcomes.

  1. ESG Elite Awards

Provide answers to the following questions (max. 500 words per question)

  • Provide an example of initiative or project you implemented that demonstrate commitment to ESG
  • What and how can a senior management champion the ESG principles and drive progress (e.g. worked with other department and/or stakeholders)
  • How have you prepared and position the company future by adapting to the evolving ESG trends
